3rd July - Chorley Ramblers Celebrated the Ramblers 75th Anniversary

Chorley Ramblers celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the  Ramblers Association. The event was well attended with 64 ramblers and Scramblers (young ramblers) participating in the event. Five groups walked a total of 75 kilometres : 25Km, 20Km, 15Km, 10Km, and the 5Km Scramblers walk.

The walk routes passed through all the parishes of Chorley Borough. We were joined by ramblers from other areas of Lancashire and by some family members too.
It was a great day with a carnival atmosphere, glorious sunshine, smashing walks to suit all abilities and to complete the day, picnic celebrations with the Mayor and Mayoress of Chorley, in the delightful walled garden of Chorley’s Astley Park.
Needless to say, the celebratory iced cup cakes went down a treat.
